Discovering the Other Side of Boracay: Our Puka Beach and Bulabog Beach Experience
When people think of Boracay, White Beach is usually the first thing that comes to mind. While we absolutely loved the famous powdery shoreline, my husband and I also wanted to explore some of the island's lesser-known gems. That's how we found ourselves visiting both Puka Beach and Bulabog Beach—two beautiful destinations that offered completely different experiences.
A Peaceful Escape at Puka Beach
Our visit to Puka Beach felt like stepping into a quieter side of Boracay. Compared to the lively atmosphere of White Beach, Puka Beach offered a more relaxed and peaceful environment.
The beach was less crowded, allowing us to truly appreciate the natural beauty around us. The clear blue waters, the gentle sound of the waves, and the fresh sea breeze created the perfect setting for slowing down and enjoying the moment.
As my husband and I walked along the shore, we admired the unique sand mixed with tiny puka shells that gave the beach its name. We spent time taking photos, enjoying the scenery, and simply appreciating the calm surroundings.
What I loved most about Puka Beach was how untouched and natural it felt. There were no loud crowds or busy activities competing for attention—just the beauty of nature and the peaceful rhythm of island life.
Experiencing the Energy of Bulabog Beach
After enjoying the tranquility of Puka Beach, our visit to Bulabog Beach offered a completely different vibe.
Known as Boracay's adventure and water sports hub, Bulabog Beach was alive with energy. The sight of colorful kites soaring across the sky immediately caught our attention. Watching kiteboarders glide across the water was both exciting and mesmerizing.
Even if you're not participating in the water sports yourself, there's something fascinating about watching skilled athletes harness the power of the wind. The beach had a vibrant atmosphere that felt adventurous and full of life.
My husband and I enjoyed walking along the shoreline, taking in the views, and watching the action unfold on the water. It was a refreshing change of pace from the more laid-back beaches we had visited earlier.
Two Beaches, Two Unique Experiences
One of the things that makes Boracay special is the variety of experiences it offers. In a single day, we were able to enjoy the peaceful beauty of Puka Beach and the exciting energy of Bulabog Beach.
Puka Beach gave us a chance to relax and reconnect with nature, while Bulabog Beach showed us a more adventurous side of the island.
